Off the line, the 2019 911 Speedster hits 100 km/h in 3.92 s versus 5.73 s for the 430i. At this point, the 2019 911 Speedster leads by 1.81 s and sits roughly 13 m ahead.
At 200 metres, the 2019 911 Speedster is doing 164 km/h against 132 km/h for the 430i. The gap is 1.42 s. The challenger starts to claw back ground.
At 400 metres standing start, the 2019 911 Speedster crosses the line in 11.61 s versus 13.97 s. The 2.37 s gap represents roughly 103 m of track - a gap visible to the naked eye.
Past 400 metres, the 2019 911 Speedster continues to build its lead. At 600 metres, it runs at 230 km/h versus 185 km/h. At 1,000 metres, the 2019 911 Speedster finishes in 20.68 s versus 25.35 s, with a 4.67 s lead.
Both rivals are electronically governed, but not at the same level: the 2019 911 Speedster is capped at 309 km/h, the 430i at 250 (i.e. 155 mph - industry threshold) km/h. This isn’t a physical engine limit - it’s a manufacturer choice, usually for tyre safety or homologation reasons. Neither car reaches its true aerodynamic top speed.
With two combustion powertrains, the difference comes down to power-to-weight ratio (2.88 kg/hp vs 5.99 kg/hp) and transmission (Manual vs Automatic).
In European road use (130 km/h max), both vehicles reach the legal speed limit in under 8.91 seconds. The 1.81 s difference in 0 to 100 km/h is mostly felt in motorway merging and overtaking.
Over 0–100 km/h, 2019 911 Speedster 992 wins (3,92 s vs 5,73 s).
2019 911 Speedster 992 goes from 0 to 100 km/h in 3,92 seconds (calibrated simulation).
