Simulation Methodology

Caralogy simulates each vehicle from its real physical characteristics — no uniform correction factors, no marketing values. This page details the sources, models and limitations.

Data sources

Technical data comes from official manufacturer press kits (MediaCenter, Newsroom). It is cross-checked with an internal measurement database and calibrated by the Caralogy simulation engine.

Physics model

Highway consumption is calculated from the aerodynamic profile (SCx), weight and power curve of each vehicle. Aerodynamic drag grows with the square of speed — which is why real consumption at 130 km/h differs from WLTP.

Energy rates

Home electricity, fast DC chargers, petrol, diesel — rates are updated monthly from official national sources.

Page in progress

The internal specification v1.0 (data sources, physics model, metric hierarchy) will be published here for public consultation. In the meantime, simulation results include their confidence level directly on each comparison page.
