Off the line, the 911 Carrera (Manual) hits 100 km/h in 4.77 s versus 7.11 s for the Cayenne (6-speed manual). At this point, the 911 Carrera (Manual) leads by 2.34 s and sits roughly 17 m ahead.
At 200 metres, the 911 Carrera (Manual) is doing 148 km/h against 125 km/h for the Cayenne (6-speed manual). The gap is 1.43 s. The challenger starts to claw back ground.
At 400 metres standing start, the 911 Carrera (Manual) crosses the line in 12.81 s versus 15.11 s. The 2.30 s gap represents roughly 95 m of track - a gap visible to the naked eye.
Past 400 metres, the 911 Carrera (Manual) continues to build its lead. At 600 metres, it runs at 209 km/h versus 174 km/h. At 1,000 metres, the 911 Carrera (Manual) finishes in 22.88 s versus 27.24 s, with a 4.36 s lead.
Both rivals are electronically governed, but not at the same level: the 911 Carrera (Manual) is capped at 289 km/h, the Cayenne (6-speed manual) at 230 km/h. This isn’t a physical engine limit - it’s a manufacturer choice, usually for tyre safety or homologation reasons. Neither car reaches its true aerodynamic top speed.
With two combustion powertrains, the difference comes down to power-to-weight ratio (4.13 kg/hp vs 6.56 kg/hp) and transmission (Manual vs Manual).
In European road use (130 km/h max), both vehicles reach the legal speed limit in under 10.93 seconds. The 2.34 s difference in 0 to 100 km/h is mostly felt in motorway merging and overtaking.
Over 0–100 km/h, 911 Carrera (Manual) 991.1 wins (4,77 s vs 7,11 s).
911 Carrera (Manual) 991.1 goes from 0 to 100 km/h in 4,77 seconds (calibrated simulation).
