Off the line, the 620d Gran Turismo hits 100 km/h in 8.08 s versus 10.58 s for the 116d. At this point, the 620d Gran Turismo leads by 2.50 s and sits roughly 32 m ahead.
At 200 metres, the 620d Gran Turismo is doing 114 km/h against 107 km/h for the 116d. The gap is 1.49 s. The challenger starts to claw back ground.
At 400 metres standing start, the 620d Gran Turismo crosses the line in 15.92 s versus 17.78 s. The 1.86 s gap represents roughly 66 m of track - a gap visible to the naked eye.
Past 400 metres, the 620d Gran Turismo continues to build its lead. At 600 metres, it runs at 158 km/h versus 148 km/h. At 1,000 metres, the 620d Gran Turismo finishes in 29.25 s versus 31.98 s, with a 2.73 s lead.
Both rivals are electronically governed, but not at the same level: the 620d Gran Turismo is capped at 220 km/h, the 116d at 200 km/h. This isn’t a physical engine limit - it’s a manufacturer choice, usually for tyre safety or homologation reasons. Neither car reaches its true aerodynamic top speed.
With two combustion powertrains, the difference comes down to power-to-weight ratio (9.29 kg/hp vs 11.77 kg/hp) and transmission (Automatic vs Automatic).
In European road use (130 km/h max), both vehicles reach the legal speed limit in under 17.16 seconds. The 2.50 s difference in 0 to 100 km/h is mostly felt in motorway merging and overtaking.
Over 0–100 km/h, 620d Gran Turismo G32 wins (8,08 s vs 10,58 s).
620d Gran Turismo G32 goes from 0 to 100 km/h in 8,08 seconds (calibrated simulation).
