Off the line, the X6 M50i hits 100 km/h in 4.26 s versus 7.43 s for the Cayenne Diesel. At this point, the X6 M50i leads by 3.18 s and sits roughly 14 m ahead.
At 200 metres, the X6 M50i is doing 154 km/h against 117 km/h for the Cayenne Diesel. The gap is 1.82 s. The challenger starts to claw back ground.
At 400 metres standing start, the X6 M50i crosses the line in 12.29 s versus 15.43 s. The 3.13 s gap represents roughly 119 m of track - a gap visible to the naked eye.
Past 400 metres, the X6 M50i continues to build its lead. At 600 metres, it runs at 214 km/h versus 161 km/h. At 1,000 metres, the X6 M50i finishes in 22.14 s versus 28.50 s, with a 6.36 s lead.
Both rivals are electronically governed, but not at the same level: the X6 M50i is capped at 250 (i.e. 155 mph - industry threshold) km/h, the Cayenne Diesel at 217 km/h. This isn’t a physical engine limit - it’s a manufacturer choice, usually for tyre safety or homologation reasons. Neither car reaches its true aerodynamic top speed.
With two combustion powertrains, the difference comes down to power-to-weight ratio (4.23 kg/hp vs 8.95 kg/hp) and transmission (Automatic vs Automatic).
In European road use (130 km/h max), both vehicles reach the legal speed limit in under 12.32 seconds. The 3.18 s difference in 0 to 100 km/h is mostly felt in motorway merging and overtaking.
Over 0–100 km/h, X6 M50i G06 wins (4,25 s vs 7,43 s).
X6 M50i G06 goes from 0 to 100 km/h in 4,25 seconds (calibrated simulation).
