Off the line, the 718 Boxster GTS PDK hits 100 km/h in 3.98 s versus 4.75 s for the Boxster Spyder. At this point, the 718 Boxster GTS PDK leads by 0.77 s and sits roughly 7 m ahead.
At 200 metres, the 718 Boxster GTS PDK is doing 159 km/h against 148 km/h for the Boxster Spyder. The gap is 0.64 s. The challenger starts to claw back ground.
At 400 metres standing start, the 718 Boxster GTS PDK crosses the line in 11.88 s versus 12.80 s. The 0.92 s gap represents roughly 47 m of track - a gap visible to the naked eye.
Past 400 metres, the 718 Boxster GTS PDK continues to build its lead. At 600 metres, it runs at 221 km/h versus 206 km/h. At 1,000 metres, the 718 Boxster GTS PDK finishes in 21.39 s versus 22.97 s, with a 1.58 s lead.
Electronically capped at 290 km/h, the 718 Boxster GTS PDK never reaches its natural aerodynamic ceiling in this duel. That’s not a physical limit of the motor - it’s a deliberate manufacturer decision, typically tied to standard-fit tyre ratings or model-range positioning.
With two combustion powertrains, the difference comes down to power-to-weight ratio (3.85 kg/hp vs 3.98 kg/hp) and transmission (Automatic vs Unknown).
In European road use (130 km/h max), both vehicles reach the legal speed limit in under 7.05 seconds. The 0.77 s difference in 0 to 100 km/h is mostly felt in motorway merging and overtaking.
Over 0–100 km/h, 718 Boxster GTS PDK wins (3,98 s vs 4,75 s).
718 Boxster GTS PDK goes from 0 to 100 km/h in 3,98 seconds (calibrated simulation).
