Off the line, the Panamera GTS hits 100 km/h in 3.93 s versus 5.73 s for the Cayenne S. At this point, the Panamera GTS leads by 1.81 s and sits roughly 15 m ahead.
At 200 metres, the Panamera GTS is doing 151 km/h against 133 km/h for the Cayenne S. The gap is 1.25 s. The challenger starts to claw back ground.
At 400 metres standing start, the Panamera GTS crosses the line in 12.12 s versus 13.92 s. The 1.80 s gap represents roughly 80 m of track - a gap visible to the naked eye.
Past 400 metres, the Panamera GTS continues to build its lead. At 600 metres, it runs at 210 km/h versus 186 km/h. At 1,000 metres, the Panamera GTS finishes in 22.14 s versus 25.21 s, with a 3.07 s lead.
Both rivals are electronically governed, but not at the same level: the Panamera GTS is capped at 291 km/h, the Cayenne S at 258 km/h. This isn’t a physical engine limit - it’s a manufacturer choice, usually for tyre safety or homologation reasons. Neither car reaches its true aerodynamic top speed.
With two combustion powertrains, the difference comes down to power-to-weight ratio (4.49 kg/hp vs 4.92 kg/hp) and transmission (Automatic vs Unknown).
In European road use (130 km/h max), both vehicles reach the legal speed limit in under 8.75 seconds. The 1.81 s difference in 0 to 100 km/h is mostly felt in motorway merging and overtaking.
Over 0–100 km/h, Panamera GTS wins (3,92 s vs 5,73 s).
Panamera GTS goes from 0 to 100 km/h in 3,92 seconds (calibrated simulation).
