Off the line, the 911 Carrera 4 GTS hits 100 km/h in 4.13 s versus 5.83 s for the Panamera. At this point, the 911 Carrera 4 GTS leads by 1.70 s and sits roughly 11 m ahead.
At 200 metres, the 911 Carrera 4 GTS is doing 161 km/h against 130 km/h for the Panamera. The gap is 1.27 s. The challenger starts to claw back ground.
At 400 metres standing start, the 911 Carrera 4 GTS crosses the line in 11.97 s versus 14.14 s. The 2.18 s gap represents roughly 94 m of track - a gap visible to the naked eye.
Past 400 metres, the 911 Carrera 4 GTS continues to build its lead. At 600 metres, it runs at 225 km/h versus 181 km/h. At 1,000 metres, the 911 Carrera 4 GTS finishes in 21.24 s versus 25.74 s, with a 4.50 s lead.
Both rivals are electronically governed, but not at the same level: the 911 Carrera 4 GTS is capped at 309 km/h, the Panamera at 259 km/h. This isn’t a physical engine limit - it’s a manufacturer choice, usually for tyre safety or homologation reasons. Neither car reaches its true aerodynamic top speed.
With two combustion powertrains, the difference comes down to power-to-weight ratio (3.25 kg/hp vs 5.79 kg/hp) and transmission (Manual vs Automatic).
In European road use (130 km/h max), both vehicles reach the legal speed limit in under 9.21 seconds. The 1.70 s difference in 0 to 100 km/h is mostly felt in motorway merging and overtaking.
Over 0–100 km/h, 911 Carrera 4 GTS 992 wins (4,13 s vs 5,83 s).
911 Carrera 4 GTS 992 goes from 0 to 100 km/h in 4,13 seconds (calibrated simulation).
911 Carrera 4 GTS 992: 480 hp, ratio 3,25 kg/hp. Panamera: 304 hp, ratio 5,79 kg/hp.
911 Carrera 4 GTS 992: 309 km/h. Panamera: 250 km/h.
