Off the line, the Boxster Spyder hits 100 km/h in 4.75 s versus 5.83 s for the Panamera. At this point, the Boxster Spyder leads by 1.09 s and sits roughly 7 m ahead.
At 200 metres, the Boxster Spyder is doing 148 km/h against 130 km/h for the Panamera. The gap is 0.74 s. The challenger starts to claw back ground.
At 400 metres standing start, the Boxster Spyder crosses the line in 12.80 s versus 14.15 s. The 1.34 s gap represents roughly 59 m of track - a gap visible to the naked eye.
Past 400 metres, the Boxster Spyder continues to build its lead. At 600 metres, it runs at 206 km/h versus 181 km/h. At 1,000 metres, the Boxster Spyder finishes in 22.97 s versus 25.76 s, with a 2.79 s lead.
Electronically capped at 257 km/h, the Panamera never reaches its natural aerodynamic ceiling in this duel. That’s not a physical limit of the motor - it’s a deliberate manufacturer decision, typically tied to standard-fit tyre ratings or model-range positioning.
With two combustion powertrains, the difference comes down to power-to-weight ratio (3.98 kg/hp vs 5.79 kg/hp) and transmission (Unknown vs Automatic).
In European road use (130 km/h max), both vehicles reach the legal speed limit in under 9.21 seconds. The 1.09 s difference in 0 to 100 km/h is mostly felt in motorway merging and overtaking.
Over 0–100 km/h, Boxster Spyder wins (4,75 s vs 5,83 s).
