Off the line, the Panamera hits 100 km/h in 5.28 s versus 6.29 s for the Macan. At this point, the Panamera leads by 1.01 s and sits roughly 5 m ahead.
At 200 metres, the Panamera is doing 136 km/h against 125 km/h for the Macan. The gap is 0.53 s. The challenger starts to claw back ground.
At 400 metres standing start, the Panamera crosses the line in 13.57 s versus 14.56 s. The 0.99 s gap represents roughly 42 m of track - a gap visible to the naked eye.
Past 400 metres, the Panamera continues to build its lead. At 600 metres, it runs at 190 km/h versus 171 km/h. At 1,000 metres, the Panamera finishes in 24.66 s versus 26.84 s, with a 2.18 s lead.
Both rivals are electronically governed, but not at the same level: the Panamera is capped at 264 km/h, the Macan at 229 km/h. This isn’t a physical engine limit - it’s a manufacturer choice, usually for tyre safety or homologation reasons. Neither car reaches its true aerodynamic top speed.
With two combustion powertrains, the difference comes down to power-to-weight ratio (5.42 kg/hp vs 7.59 kg/hp) and transmission (Automatic vs Automatic).
In European road use (130 km/h max), both vehicles reach the legal speed limit in under 10.24 seconds. The 1.01 s difference in 0 to 100 km/h is mostly felt in motorway merging and overtaking.
Over 0–100 km/h, Panamera wins (5,28 s vs 6,29 s).
Panamera goes from 0 to 100 km/h in 5,28 seconds (calibrated simulation).
