Off the line, the Panamera Turbo hits 100 km/h in 3.55 s versus 4.48 s for the 2013 Panamera GTS. At this point, the Panamera Turbo leads by 0.93 s and sits roughly 8 m ahead.
At 200 metres, the Panamera Turbo is doing 163 km/h against 147 km/h for the 2013 Panamera GTS. The gap is 0.79 s. The challenger starts to claw back ground.
At 400 metres standing start, the Panamera Turbo crosses the line in 11.45 s versus 12.69 s. The 1.24 s gap represents roughly 61 m of track - a gap visible to the naked eye.
Past 400 metres, the Panamera Turbo continues to build its lead. At 600 metres, it runs at 228 km/h versus 205 km/h. At 1,000 metres, the Panamera Turbo finishes in 20.66 s versus 22.94 s, with a 2.28 s lead.
Both rivals are electronically governed, but not at the same level: the Panamera Turbo is capped at 308 km/h, the 2013 Panamera GTS at 288 km/h. This isn’t a physical engine limit - it’s a manufacturer choice, usually for tyre safety or homologation reasons. Neither car reaches its true aerodynamic top speed.
With two combustion powertrains, the difference comes down to power-to-weight ratio (3.63 kg/hp vs 4.49 kg/hp) and transmission (Automatic vs Automatic).
In European road use (130 km/h max), both vehicles reach the legal speed limit in under 6.84 seconds. The 0.93 s difference in 0 to 100 km/h is mostly felt in motorway merging and overtaking.
Over 0–100 km/h, Panamera Turbo 971 wins (3,54 s vs 4,47 s).
Panamera Turbo 971 goes from 0 to 100 km/h in 3,54 seconds (calibrated simulation).
