Off the line, the Cayenne Turbo hits 100 km/h in 4.15 s versus 4.36 s for the Cayenne Turbo S. At this point, the Cayenne Turbo leads by 0.21 s and sits roughly 4 m ahead.
At 200 metres, the Cayenne Turbo is doing 153 km/h against 152 km/h for the Cayenne Turbo S. The gap is 0.17 s. The gap remains stable from the start.
At 400 metres standing start, the Cayenne Turbo crosses the line in 12.23 s versus 12.42 s. The 0.18 s gap represents roughly 10 m of track - barely a car length.
Past 400 metres, the Cayenne Turbo continues to build its lead. At 600 metres, it runs at 212 km/h versus 211 km/h. At 1,000 metres, the Cayenne Turbo finishes in 22.17 s versus 22.41 s, with a 0.25 s lead. Both vehicles have similar top speeds (279 vs 278 km/h), preventing any comeback.
On paper, the Cayenne Turbo S combines 570 hp, 800 Nm and 2,170 kg - a clear theoretical edge over the Cayenne Turbo. Yet the Cayenne Turbo launches quicker. At standstill, both motors deliver peak torque from 0 rpm: the decisive factor is no longer raw power, but available grip. If the Cayenne Turbo has a better traction coefficient (tyres, weight distribution, traction control calibration), it puts down more force despite inferior specs - exactly what the simulation reflects, calibrated on manufacturer 0-100 km/h times.
Both rivals are electronically governed, but not at the same level: the Cayenne Turbo S is capped at 282 km/h, the Cayenne Turbo at 278 km/h. This isn’t a physical engine limit - it’s a manufacturer choice, usually for tyre safety or homologation reasons. Neither car reaches its true aerodynamic top speed.
With two combustion powertrains, the difference comes down to power-to-weight ratio (3.81 kg/hp vs 4.20 kg/hp) and transmission (Automatic vs Unknown).
In European road use (130 km/h max), both vehicles reach the legal speed limit in under 6.36 seconds. The 0.21 s difference in 0 to 100 km/h is mostly felt in motorway merging and overtaking.
